Jesus teaches us how to respond when someone hurts us, how to pray, and how to trust God with tomorrow. These are choices we face in the course of an ordinary week. In this adult Bible study, Pastor Mark Addis will guide us through Matthew 5 through 7, using The Sermon on the Mount by Drew Hunter. We'll study the Beatitudes and Jesus' teaching on anger, reconciliation, generosity, worry, and love for our enemies. Hunter's guide follows the sermon in order, with questions that help us understand each passage, its place in the wider story of Scripture, and the grace of God it reveals. Together, we'll consider how following Jesus shapes the way we speak to people, use our money, pray, and face the future. We meet Wednesday nights at 7 PM at New Hope Community Church.
